On 2nd November, our Grade 6 students visited Universal Studios as part of their celebration for finishing the IPC unit Fairgrounds. Throughout the unit, they studied the science behind fairground rides, and the trip gave them the chance to see those ideas come to life.
Students took on thrilling roller coasters, where they could feel the speed, drops, and loops they had learned about in class. They also enjoyed immersive 4D experiences, splashed through water rides, and tried spinning and swinging attractions that showed forces and motion in action. Between rides, they explored the park, shared snacks, and laughed with their friends.
It was a fun and memorable way to wrap up their hard work, and a great chance to see the rides they had studied up close.
