  •    A) School teaches basic phonics, encourage students to read and write easy words.
  •    B) School operates curriculum integration same as Nuri curriculum which is related with life subjects.
  •    C) School teaches English with English textbook proven effective by English language teaching professionals.
  •    D) Kindergarten 1, 2 classroom has two homeroom teachers(Korean, English).
  •    E) Nursery1 has 1 English class per a day, Nursery2 has 2 English class per a day.

  •    A) School teaches basic Chinese words, sentences which is related with our daily life.

B. Overseas Korean School Specialized Curriculum
  • 1) Creative Gifted Studies is taught for Grades 3~6.
  • 2) Grades 1~2 are taught in an immersive evironment for Creative Gifted Studies when students learn integrated subjects.
C. Creative Activities
  • 1) Activities are composed of electives, club activities, volunteer work and future career guidance.
  • 2) The specific activities and content are dependent on the school's area and conditions, requests from students, teachers, parents, and the developmental stages of the child.
  • 3) To increase the effectiveness of hands-on activities, major subjects and creative activities are integrated within each sub-category.
  • 4) The club activities consist of four areas: Physical Education, Art, Music and Research. Each of the areas allow students to discover and develop their interests and talents.

  • C) Organizing Groups: 20 groups including Soccer(Lower & Higher Grades), Taekwondo, Golf, Horse Riding, Badminton, Watercolor Painting, Creative drawing, Arts and Crafts, Origami, Art Play, Chess, Lego, Cooking, Software Use and more
  • D) Venue: Respective classrooms and school hall. Soccer, Golf and Horse Riding are held at outdoor facilities

6) Variety of After-School Activities
  • A) After-school activities, including Art, Physical Education, Foreign Language, Research Life and more. Costs are paid for by the parents.
  • B) Samulnori and Korean Choir are financially supported by the school and allows greater exposure to Korean culture and arts
  • C) School provides Beginner ESL and CSL classes for students who are straight from Korea for free.
  • D) Basic Korean classes are also provided to strengthen their mother tongue.

1. Integrated Curriculum between Liberal Arts and Science

  • ∙ We do not separate Liberal Arts and Science as in other schools.
  • ∙ Students in SKIS are taking 16 hours of social studies and science subject.

2. Ensuring students right to choose their own subject

  • ∙ We provide students with opportunity to choose their own subjects in interest.
  • ∙ Students can choose from ‘CalculusⅡ(Advanced)’ or ‘Probability & Statistics (Intermediate)’ when grade 11. When grade 12, they may choose either ‘Geometry & Vectors(Advanced)’ or ‘Korean math CalculusⅠ’
  • ∙ Students will choose from ‘Biology’, ‘Physics’, ‘Chemistry’ for science subject.
  • ∙ Students will choose from 'South East Asia History', 'Law', 'World history', 'Economy' for social studies.

3. Internationally accepted subjects

  • ∙ Along with regular curriculum, AP(Advanced Placement) subjects are available for those who are interested in furthering their studies abroad.
  • ∙ We provide AP Human Geography, AP Economics, AP World History for social studies.
  • ∙ We provide AP physics, AP Biology, AP Chemistry for science.
  • ∙We provide AP Calculus 및 SAT math through CCA program in math.

Creative Activity

  • ∙ Students are able to carry out high quality research about their interested topic through Research Project(Art, Science, Global Issue, Psychology).
